On April 14, 2011, I attended an event at Jesse Auditorium at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, where Maya Angelou was the featured speaker. I found the video featured here among my old files and I have decided to share it despite the poor quality and shaky camera work. Angelou talks about making changes in small increments and advises people not to allow racial or sexual pejoratives to be used in their surroundings. Take a listen. Another interesting fact that you might have not known about Angelou is that she spoke about six languages and worked as a newspaper editor in Egypt and Ghana.
